Charlotte J. Sternberg was an American painter and illustrator born in Meriden, Connecticut in 1920. She attended Yale University and received a degree in fine art in 1942. Sternberg became known for her landscape art and worked with various mediums, including oil paints, watercolors, and textile. She initially did advertising illustration before focusing on fine art. Sternberg’s artwork has been featured in the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum’s collection.
