Carl Kauba was an Austrian sculptor known for his bronze sculptures of Native Americans and Western subjects. He was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1865, the son of a shoemaker. Kauba’s work is characterized by representations of Native Americans and animal figures. Some of his work has been featured in the Great Plains Art Museum.
